So, camping trip later. It has potential to be the weirdest camping trip of all time as so many people bailed. SO MANY PEOPLE HAD LEGIT REASONS TO BAIL.
I mean, the only people left going (along with Lindsay and Jen, our youth leaders) are me, my brother, Allan, Travis, Calista and Liz. It has potential to be a weird two days and/or the most anticlimactic camping trip of all time. We don't even have a hurricane to interrupt our trip, like happened two years ago.
I may or may not be outgrowing this youth group but I suppose it was inevitable. For some reason, my youth group goes in distinct generations and my time to head out is near (as is Moriah's and Allan's), as our generation is being over run by the next generation. When I was in 9th grade, the previous generation to me left. My time is near, which is kind of depressing because that means it's the end of my youth group era. I have so many fond memories of my four years of Wednesdays evenings hanging out in an old grocery store turned sketchy/hipster church.
I hope things look up and that my negative mood is only caused by not eating yet today out of laziness and running into my former boss in the mall and just being unbelievably pissed at his existence.
Love,
-J-
